S.M.A.R.T. 3: The Finishing of the Future Between Innovation and Sustainability
UCIF (the Italian Surface Treatment Equipment Manufacturers’ Association), which has reached its third edition under the prestigious patronage of the City of Milan, the Poliefun association, and the MADE Competence Centre Industria 4.0.
This year, the theme “The finishing of the future between innovation and sustainability” will be the focus of the eleven presentations given by participating companies, exploring new technologies, interactions between machines and humans, and the importance of sustainability in manufacturing.
With its third edition of S.M.A.R.T., UCIF continues to be an important point of reference in the surface treatment industry, offering a stage for all companies that are driving innovation and sustainability – already with an eye to Industry 5.0, highlighting the importance of a human-centred approach and technological progress.
The surface treatment sector has a considerable footprint on the environment and working conditions, making it a focal point for environmental regulations. SMART3 | UCIF: la finitura del futuro tra innovazione e sostenibilità

UCIF, Unione Costruttori Impianti di Finitura, presenta la terza edizione del Convegno SMART (Surface. Manufacturing. Advanced. Research. Trends.). Nato nel 2019 con l’obiettivo di esplorare le nuove frontiere tecnologiche nel settore dei trattamenti di superficie, l’evento è stato riproposto nel 2022 con una forte enfasi sull’innovazione tecnologica e sulla sostenibilità, al fine di favorire la ripresa post-pandemia.
L’edizione del 2024 avrà luogo il 22 maggio presso il Centro Congressi Fondazione Cariplo a Milano e si concentrerà sul tema “La finitura del futuro tra innovazione e sostenibilità”, in linea con i principi del nuovo modello di società e industria focalizzato sull’uomo (Industria 5.0).
